  • CHIEF Flight instructor

Monarch Air is a rapidly growing flight department based in the Dallas Ft. Worth area seeking exceptional individuals to join our team. We carefully hand select all of our team members based on characteristics such as professionalism, strong work ethic, customer care abilities, and their commitment to safety.

We are hiring a Chief Flight Instructor to lead our successful flight training program in Addison and McKinney, TX. Successful candidates will not only possess the qualities below but also a strong work ethic with attention to client experience, ability to lead, desire to market and promote the Monarch Air flight school, provide a positive team environment and work cohesively with management.

Minimum Qualifications:

Current FAA CFI, CFI-I, and MEI certificates

Meet the Pilot-in-command recent flight experience requirements of 14 CFR 61.57

At least 2000 hours Pilot-in-command time

Either:  3 years and a total of 1000 flight hours OR 1500 flight hours

Dedicated primary (i.e. Private) flight instruction experience of either:  2 years and a total of 500 flight hours OR 1000 flight hours

100 flight hours of actual or simulated instrument time

Dedicated instrument flight instruction experience of either:  2 years and 250 flight hours OR 400 flight hours

Ability to pass DOT/FAA drug tests

Ability to pass a criminal background check

Any additional items listed in 14 CFR 141.35

Upon hiring, the regulations require that a chief instructor be able to pass:

A knowledge test on teaching methods, applicable parts of the AIM, FARs, and course completion standards administered by the FAA

A flight test administered by the FAA"

  • Flight instructor

Monarch Air is a rapidly growing flight department based in the Dallas Ft. Worth area seeking exceptional individuals to join our team. We carefully hand select all of our team members based on characteristics such as professionalism, strong work ethic, customer care abilities, and their commitment to safety.

We are hiring Flight Instructors that want to join a successful flight training program. Successful candidates who work hard and provide a positive team environment, will rapidly be accelerated into our FAR 135 Scheduled Commuter Service flying King Air 350 equipped aircraft.

As a CFI you will be training from day one on our new fleet of G1000 Cessna 172SPs while preparing yourself for the transition to our commuter flight department. Team members may be offered a full time position as a King Air First Officer and sent to simulator training after as little as six months, or 600 hours of instruction given.

Minimum Qualifications:

FAA 1st Class Physical (or the ability to maintain one if pursing advancement into flow through program) otherwise FAA 3rd

ClassCertified Flight Instructor Rating

Impeccable FAA and driving safety record

Preferred Qualifications:

300 Hours total time

Certified Flight Instructor - Instrument

Certified Multi-engine Flight Instructor
